Happy Thanksgiving!
As I set the table for Thanksgiving I think about how this table has changed over the years. From the first Thanksgiving I hosted with parents, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles and friends; too much turkey, too many desserts and just barely enough room at the table.
Year after year I've learned about portions, the right size turkey, just enough sides and most important of all, to treasure each person at the table because every year brings change.
This year there's a beautiful 2 year old, my adult children, dear friends and relatives. This year I'll consider myself blessed to have such a full table of the people I love and I'll let them know because I know next year the table will be different.
As much as I love this holiday and the wonderful food, as the years go by, who sits at this table is much more important.
