The trend this year for summer travel is that we are planning it later than usual. But you don't want to wait any longer if you are booking confirmed air. Confirmed air is priced like layers on a cake. The best prices are sold first at the bottom and the "top" of the cake with the highest prices are sold closest to the date of travel. Yes, weekday travel is usually less expensive than weekend travel but holidays and summer schedules can throw this theory for a loop. Be flexible if you can, if you can't, then book early.
